Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data SINK® collects, why, and what your rights are. It applies to SINK and any order you place with us.
What we collect
- Contact and delivery details you give us at checkout (name, address, email, phone).
- Order and payment information, processed securely by our payment provider — we never store full card details.
- Basic analytics about how the site is used, to improve it.
Why we use it
- To make your chair, take payment, and deliver your order.
- To send order updates (the made-to-order journey) and, with consent, occasional brand emails.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
Sharing
We share data only with the partners needed to fulfil your order — our workshop, payment provider, shipping carrier, and email platform — each bound to protect it. We never sell your data.
Your rights
Under EU/GDPR rules you can access, correct, or delete your data, and object to certain processing. Contact hello@sinkchair.com to exercise any of these.
These terms govern your use of SINK and any purchase of the Drift chair. By placing an order you agree to them.
Orders
- Every chair is made to order in the fabric you select. An order is confirmed once payment is received.
- Prices are shown per fabric group and include VAT.
- We may decline or cancel an order in rare cases (e.g. pricing error); you'll be refunded in full.
Production & delivery
Lead time is approximately ten weeks from order confirmation. Dates are estimates, not guarantees; we'll keep you updated if anything changes.
Made-to-order nature
Because each chair is custom-made, the right to cancel for a standard change of mind does not apply once production begins. See our returns policy.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer. Our liability is limited to the value of your order except where the law provides otherwise.
We want you to love your Drift. Because it's made to order, please read this carefully before you buy.
Custom, made-to-order pieces
Each chair is manufactured specifically for you in your chosen fabric. Under EU distance-selling rules, custom-made goods are exempt from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal, so a made-to-order Drift cannot be returned for a change of mind.
Before you commit
- Order fabric samples if you're unsure of colour or texture — request them here.
- Check dimensions against your space (see the product page).
- You can change your fabric free of charge any time before production starts.
Faulty or damaged items
If your chair arrives damaged or faulty, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos. We'll repair or replace it at no cost. This does not affect your statutory rights.
How and when your chair reaches you.
Where we ship
We ship across Europe, free of charge, tracked — direct from our European workshop to your door. For destinations outside Europe, contact us for a quote.
Timing
- Production takes approximately ten weeks from order confirmation.
- Once your chair is collected you'll receive a tracking link by email.
- Transit is typically 2–4 working days within the EU after dispatch.
Delivery
Your chair ships boxed (approx. 62 × 82 × 102 cm) with minimal assembly. Please make sure someone can receive it, and check the box on arrival — report any visible damage to the courier and to us.
Updates
We send proactive updates at key milestones — see the 10-week process for exactly when you'll hear from us.
